1. Introduction

This Account Deletion Policy explains how users of the ShortletHub Mobile Application (“ShortletHub”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) may permanently delete their accounts, what happens to personal data after deletion, and the circumstances under which certain information may be retained.

ShortletHub is committed to protecting user privacy and providing transparent processes for account management and data deletion in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

2. Eligibility for Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their ShortletHub account at any time, provided that:

  • There are no unresolved disputes or legal restrictions
  • There are no active bookings, unresolved payment obligations, or ongoing investigations
  • The request can be successfully verified

ShortletHub reserves the right to temporarily delay deletion where necessary to:

  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Resolve disputes or chargebacks
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect the security and integrity of the platform

3. How to Delete Your Account

3.1 In-App Account Deletion

Users may permanently delete their account directly within the ShortletHub Mobile Application by following these steps:

  1. Open the ShortletHub Mobile Application
  2. Navigate to Profile
  3. Select Account Settings
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Review the deletion notice and confirm the request
  6. Complete any required verification steps

Once confirmed, the account deletion request will be submitted for processing.


3.2 Requesting Deletion Through Customer Support

Users may also request account deletion by contacting our support team directly:

To protect users against unauthorized deletion requests, identity verification may be required before processing any request.

Verification may include:

  • Email confirmation
  • Verification of recent account activity
  • Phone number confirmation
  • Additional identity verification where necessary

4. What Happens After Account Deletion

Once an account deletion request has been approved:

  • The user account will be immediately deactivated
  • Login access will be disabled
  • User profiles will no longer be publicly visible
  • Personal profile information will be deleted or anonymized
  • Access to bookings, hosting profiles, saved preferences, and account history will be removed
  • Certain platform interactions may be anonymized to preserve system integrity

Deleted accounts cannot be restored once deletion processing has been completed.

Users wishing to use ShortletHub again in the future must create a new account.


5. Data That May Be Retained

Certain information may be retained after account deletion where required for legitimate legal, regulatory, operational, or security purposes.

Examples include:

  • Transaction and payment records
  • Completed booking and reservation history
  • Tax and accounting documentation
  • Fraud prevention and risk management records
  • Security monitoring logs
  • Dispute and charge back records
  • Records required for legal compliance

Where possible, retained information will be:

  • Restricted from active operational use
  • Access-controlled
  • Minimized or anonymized where appropriate

6. Reviews, Ratings & Public Content

Reviews, ratings, feedback, and other publicly visible content submitted by users may remain visible on the platform after account deletion.

However:

  • Personally identifiable information associated with such content will be removed or anonymized where feasible
  • Usernames may be replaced with generic identifiers such as “Deleted User”

ShortletHub reserves the right to retain platform content necessary for operational integrity, fraud prevention, and community trust.


7. Third-Party Services & Integrations

ShortletHub may use trusted third-party providers for services including:

  • Payment processing
  • Cloud hosting
  • Analytics
  • Customer communication
  • Booking integrations

If users interacted with third-party services through ShortletHub, those providers may retain certain information according to:

  • Their own privacy policies
  • Applicable laws and regulations
  • Financial and compliance obligations

ShortletHub will take reasonable steps to notify applicable providers of approved deletion requests where appropriate.


8. Backup & Recovery Systems

Deleted account information may temporarily remain in encrypted backup and disaster recovery systems for operational continuity and security purposes.

Backup data:

  • Has restricted access controls
  • Is automatically overwritten or deleted according to retention schedules
  • Is not actively used once deletion has been requested

Backup archives are generally deleted within 90 days.

10. Re-Registration After Deletion

Users may create a new ShortletHub account at any time after deletion.

However:

  • Previously deleted data cannot be restored
  • Previous account history, preferences, and records may no longer be accessible
  • New registrations may be subject to updated verification requirements

11. Security & Fraud Prevention

ShortletHub maintains administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to:

  • Prevent unauthorized account deletion
  • Protect personal information
  • Detect fraudulent or malicious activity
  • Secure retained records during processing

We reserve the right to deny or delay deletion requests where necessary to protect platform security or comply with legal obligations.

ShortletHub may update or modify this Account Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect:
